If you just want a range toy and can afford $700 more the Staccato in steel would be nice too. Should look at the Staccato C2 as a better comparison to the Prodigy FWIW.. If you don't care about weight and $700 is a lot of scratch to you then look hard at the Prodigy. No doubt the Staccato is a higher quality gun. But the Prodigy fills a niche too.

A guy i shoot with weekly just got his yesterday and says its just as good as the Staccato’s he owns, (C2, CS and P).
