Display lit and showing CD RDM TR 7 and four rectangles. With ignition switch on, or engine started, all controls have no effect on the above status including the eject button.The problem can be either a processing IC goes bad and is no longer available or the laser quits and is no longer available. In which case all you can do is trash the machine. I was lucky in that a player I had was still working perfectly after 25 years but I decided to upgrade while the older was worth something in on trade.In this video I repair a faulty CD player that doesn't read discs anymore, instead it just makes ticking sounds.
