Sep 8, 2021 · An RMR/SRO is too wide to be direct milled to a TS slide and really even a standard S2 slide without a adaptor plate of some type. That's not true, at least for the S2. CGW milled my SRO directly to my S2 slide. Not knocking the CZC plate system, just saying. It is true that the RMR footprint is wider then the slide. Once the weight limit was increased the Shadow 2 OR became available (and allowed) that does not have any slide lightening cuts and it shoots pretty good as is. That's the correct guy to speak with at CZ Custom. CZC has set up two Shadow 1's with the multi-optic plates for me (both have SRO's mounted) and just recently did a direct mill on a Shadow 2 for another SRO and milled the slide to make CO weight for IDPA. The S2 has just about an ounce to spare on the weight.
