Jeep wrangler overheating while driving.

My TJ has started making a loud squeaking noise while I'm driving. It seems to correspond with whatever speed the Jeep is going and doesn't change with gear shifting. By the time I'm going about 30mph it's just a constant squeal. When I'm going low speeds it's much more relaxed. My '99 2.5l randomly shuts off while driving. There is no warning, no bucking, no loss of engine speed or power, just shuts off as if you turn the ignition off. Thermostat is not that old (about a year) so I replaced the PCV valve which was toast (and quite a pain in the arse). At idle or even low speeds (45-50) it’s fine.
